Dr. Angelo G. Pope Jr., DDS, known to his patients as Dr. AJ, is a board-certified pediatric dentist with 12 years in practice who joined Junior Smiles of Stafford in 2022.
Dr. AJ approaches dentistry with a sense of fun and patience that establishes a natural atmosphere of comfort for children and teens. This results in an exceptional level of trust and communication between him, his patients, and their families. He prides himself on staying abreast of the latest techniques and materials in dentistry, ensuring that his patients receive top-tier care. This includes being a laser certified provider who is trained in releasing tethered oral tissues (lip and tongue ties).
Dr. AJ is an avid sports fan who enjoys reading, podcasts, traveling, and visiting various theme parks and museums with his wife and daughter. He loves sneakers but takes far more pride in his seemingly endless and random collection of fun socks. Aside from his daily commitments as a pediatric dentist, Dr. AJ is also an aspiring voice actor.
Dr. AJ always dreamed of a career in healthcare where he could specifically work to improve the treatment provided and experience for children. This combined with his lifelong enjoyment of working with his hands and drawing made him fall in love with the idea of becoming a pediatric dentist
