We also accept Virginia Medicaid through Cardinal Care, Smiles For Children, DentaQuest, FAMIS, Anthem HealthKeepers Plus, and Sunlife. We’re not in network with EPO, DMO, or HMO plans.

Yes. We accept TRICARE dental through United Concordia and the TRICARE Dental Program (TDP), and we’re currently accepting new patients on these plans.

Yes. We’re out-of-network with Dominion, Liberty Dental, and Kaiser Permanente, but our office still files the claim for you. We also accept assignment of benefits.

A first visit typically runs $150 to $180 without insurance. The exam, cleaning, and fluoride is $150, and x-rays are $30 for the full series or bitewings. With most PPO plans, preventive visits are typically covered at 100%, so your out-of-pocket cost is $0.

Most plans cover two cleanings per year. Some allow two at any time during the year, while others require six months and one day between visits. For children at higher risk of decay, additional coverage must be arranged with the insurance carrier in advance during open enrollment.

Nitrous oxide, sealants after age 14, and general anesthesia sedation are commonly not covered. A typical annual maximum is $1,500 to $2,000, and once your child reaches it you would pay out of pocket for additional services until the plan renews.

Yes. For treatment over $500 we offer in-house payment plans with no interest. We don’t use third-party financing. A down payment of roughly 25% of the estimated patient copay is required for extensive treatment and two-hour appointments. We accept debit and credit cards, cash, check, Apple Pay, and FSA and HSA cards.

We don’t bill for general anesthesia. The cost is $1,600 to $3,600 depending on the length of treatment, paid directly to the anesthesiologist, who provides the paperwork you need to file with your medical insurance for reimbursement.
